Thank you for the words of kindness on the last post, readers!
this is my final assignment for digital media class, for an Absolut Vodka ad pimping something Canadian. This isn't necessarily supposed to be Broken Social Scene, just a generic 8-200 piece indie band, which seems to be a popular thing with Canadian indie. Social Scene got picked since they get the most mean jokes about their exaggerated number (Where does %75 of Canada go on vacation? on tour with BSS.), my professor said it wasn't Canadian enough to just say "absolut indie", the arcade fire didn't suit it (maybe too many people are smiling?) and "absolut godspeed!" looked really idiotic. (Which is too bad because I really wanted it to be a Quebec-based band.) Someone suggested Do Make Say Think, but seeing as I barely know them in passing and I'm a relatively huge hipster snob, I passed. (Plus beating that name into a tagline is awkward. )
Anyway, I guess they're little Absolut bottles dressed up that some hipster girl's hawking on Etsy? Actually drinking all that vodka, chopping up fabric and googly eyes, making some sculpy instruments, whipping out the glue gun and just taking a bloody picture would have taken less time and given me less problems that this peice of crap did! (I only say crap because I am still in pain from 59~ consecutive Illustrator crashes. I actually think that they are ADORABLE little ugly hipster bottles.)
